In January we learned that Mindy had cancer -- hemangiosarcoma a malignant cancer that arises from the blood vessels. By the time it was discovered numerous tumors were detected with an ultrasound. A few days before her 7th birthday she went went to the Rainbow Bridge to wait for us.   We'll cherish every day she was with us.  She taught me so much about raising a puppy - she was quite a girl. 

I've researched some about this and learned that hemangiosarcoma is a somewhat common tumor in dogs and that most of the tumors are metastatic and aggressive and the prognosis is poor.  It's more common in older dogs and Corgis were not listed as this being common in.
